Há quatro dias, dirigentes do São Paulo afirmavam ter recusado uma proposta de 38 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 96 milhões) do Manchester United por Lucas, oferta não-confirmada pelo staff do jogador. Neste domingo, porém, o clube teria aceitado liberar o atleta ao time inglês por 26 milhões de libras esterlinas, que equivalem a R$ 82 milhões. A informação é do jornal inglês Daily Mirror.

De acordo com a publicação britânica, o time tricolor já concordou com a proposta e o acerto só depende do acordo com o agente do meia-atacante, Wagner Ribeiro, e os familiares, o que não deve ser complicado. Empresário e diretoria de futebol do clube não atenderam para falar sobre o assunto.

Lucas já está na Inglaterra para disputar a Olimpíada e tem recorrido seguidamente ao Twitter para fazer graça com os amigos, mas não fala de propostas. Antes de viajar, havia mudado o discurso de ficar na equipe que o formou até 2014, abrindo a possibilidade de ser negociado. Ribeiro, na última sexta, se disse desconfortável para falar sobre seu cliente.

Alex Ferguson, técnico do Manchester, há meses pediu que os dirigentes focassem as negociações para contratar o jogador que completará 20 anos no mês que vem. A imprensa britânica o ressalta como "especial", com capacidade para aguentar pancadas e habilidade e velocidade para dar certo.

Manchester United have agreed a staggering £26 million deal with Sao Paulo for Brazil sensation Lucas Moura.

Boss Sir Alex Ferguson is being backed by the Glazers to land the 19-year-old wonder boy, who appeared as a sub against Team GB, and the move is now down to agreeing terms with his camp.

Ferguson’s negotiators have astonishingly doubled their valuation in the talks on Lucas, who has been a target for months as the Mirror first revealed in March.

Sao Paulo have accepted the sale price on Lucas, who is in England for the Olympics, and United are confident they can come to an agreement with his agents.

Lucas is looked after by his father and an agency and they want a big payment too, with United trying to agree those figures in a hurry.
